                    Hon Carla E Craig Chief Judge   Joseph P Hurley Clerk of Court                         CHANGES TO BANKRUPTCY COURT MISCELLANEOUS FEE SCHEDULE Several changes to the Bankruptcy Court Miscellaneous Fee Schedule were approved by the Judicial Conference on September The changes became effective on January Click to view the Schedule of Fees effective January The changes include new fees for reopening and converting cases and splitting joint cases Your attention is directed in particular to fees for reopening cases The fee due upon filing a motion to reopen a Chapter case will now include the trustee fee surcharge along with the filing fee The fee WILL be due upon filing a request to reopen a case in which the court did not enter a discharge due to the debtor’s failure to file a certificate of completion of a financial management course The two situations in which an exemption applies are clarified A note has also been added to the Schedule of Fees making plain the Court’s policy in regard to requests to reopen cases in which the debtor’s application for waiver of the petition filing fee was granted To the extent that the debtor seeks to have the filing

                    Hon Carla E Craig Chief Judge   Joseph P Hurley Clerk of Court                         CASE MANAGEMENT ELECTRONIC CASE FILING CM ECF is a case management program that allows attorneys to file petitions and other documents electronically over the Internet using a standard Web browser This results in an electronic case file Case information including images of documents will be available for examination electronically from any location where there is Internet access office home or even the library Chapter cases and related adversary proceedings filed on or after April and all cases and adversary proceedings filed on or after January have been assigned to the Electronic Case Filing System ELECTRONIC FILING OF PROOFS OF CLAIM Effective January the court will allow proofs of claim to be filed electronically If you have a current password you will automatically be provided this option on January Those interested in a limited access password can obtain the application at E MAIL SUBMISSION OF ORDERS IN CASES BEFORE JUDGE ROSENTHAL Orders in cases before Visiting Judge Joel B Rosenthal are to be submitted via e mail Click for further information Proofs of claim in these cases are to be filed with the listed claims
